A new set of regulations regarding the protection of plants against harmful organisms is about to come into force.
A single national code will come into force for the registration of professional operators in the RUOP ( Single Register of Professional Operators ), whose legislation provides for a new format and new contents for the Plant Passport.
Among the requirements, the most innovative concern the traceability of species, whereby the professional operator will be required to adopt self-control measures.
The Secretary of ANVE (National Association of Exporting Nurserymen ), Edoardo Sciutti , is working to assist companies in complying with these requirements and at the conference he presented useful tools for understanding how to comply.
Vivai Acciarri thanked all participants and hoped they had a peaceful and enjoyable day dedicated to horticulture.
