Tulbaghia (Liliaceae)

Violacea
Native to South Africa, it is a perennial bulbous plant with a tufted habit that produces long, narrow leaves. In summer and throughout the winter, clusters of star-shaped, pink-violet flowers appear at the tips of the stems. Its intense garlicky scent is offset by its beauty; it is widely used in pharmaceuticals as an anti-cancer agent.
