Photinia (Rosaceae)

Price range: €5,60 through €50,00

x Frasier Red Robin
A plant native to southeast Asia, it arrived in Europe a few years ago via New Zealand, where this hybrid of two photinia species originated. This shrubby plant with chameleon-like foliage and a rounded, upright habit creates beautiful splashes of color and fantastic hedges. It features elongated, leathery, serrated evergreen leaves that range from green to red on the new shoots. It produces abundant pinkish-white flowers in spring and small, blackish-red fruits in late summer.

x Fraseri Nana, Little Red Robin
A dwarf form of photinia with smaller, oval leaves. Compact, semi-spherical shape; excellent for pots, planters, small hedges, and borders.
