Ligustrum Sapling (Oleaceae)

Jonandrum, delavayanum
A densely branched evergreen shrub. It has opposite, pointed, ovoid leaves of a bright, dark green color. Before summer, it produces white flowers clustered in highly fragrant panicles. It tolerates severe pruning, which is why it is used to create well-formed plants.

Japonicum, Japanese privet
Native to Southeast Asia, it’s an evergreen with very large, glossy, dark green leaves. Throughout the summer, it produces abundant, highly scented, creamy-white flowers, which precede the appearance of small black fruits. Suitable for both hedges and tree-lined avenues.

Japonicum Excelsum Superbum
It has the same technical characteristics as Ligustrum Japonicum; it differs from it in its reduced growth and the color of its leaves, which are a beautiful green edged with pink on young shoots that become creamy yellow over time.

Ovalifolium Aureum
An erect, semi-evergreen shrub with oval leaves, green in the center and bright yellow at the edges. Creamy white flowers and occasional black fruits.

Sinensis
Deciduous shrub with slightly hairy branches and small, oblong, elliptical, and lanceolate leaves. Creamy-white flowers and small black fruits.

Ovalifolium
An erect, semi-evergreen shrub with elliptical to oval, glossy green leaves. Creamy-white flowers and black fruit. A popular hedge plant, even in alpine climates.

Texanum
An evergreen with an upright, spreading habit, featuring oval, wavy, and leathery leaves of a shiny, dark green color. Fragrant white flowers are followed by a large number of black fruits.

Texanum Argenteum, Silver Star
It has the same technical characteristics as Ligustrum Texanum, but has light green leaves with creamy white edges.
