Communis, common myrtle
A compact, evergreen Mediterranean shrub with a rounded shape. It has small, bright green leaves and small, creamy-white, solitary flowers. It produces round, purplish-black berries that give the plant a very picturesque appearance.

Communis Tarentina
Same characteristics as M. Communis, but with a more compact habit, smaller leaves, white flowers with shades of pink and white berries.
