Agave (Agavaceae)

Succulent plants native to Central and South America. They are plants with large, fleshy leaves with teeth on the edges and a thorn at the apex. The leaves are arranged in a rose shape, growing centrally and opening out. Adult specimens produce inflorescences on very tall stems with yellow bell-shaped flowers.
